Scottsville Community Church

This church keeps two sets of registers, one for those who are already born-again  (hereafter referred to as members) and another list for those who are not yet born again (hereafter referred to as adherents). An adherent can also be a born-again  person who is only worshipping with us for a short period of time. Only members can  cast a vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). 

Membership application forms are available to anyone who wishes to become a  member. Once a form is received, an elder/deacon will visit the person at home or  place of work. The application will then be discussed at the quarterly meeting. If  members accept the application, the applicant will be welcomed into membership  during a Sunday service. From this point onwards, a person will have full access to  his/her membership privileges and responsibilities. If the application is not successful,  the applicant will be notified of the reasons in writing but will also be encouraged to  continue worshipping and then apply again as soon as the stipulated concerns are  addressed.
